There will be a sidewalk closure at the legion due to painting of the front sidewalk. Access will be thru the back door (alley) and patio doors only. Closure will be starting Wednesday and ending Thursday.
What is the Bridging the Gap Program?
The purpose of this program is to support the wellbeing of seniors 55+ in years through programming in Strathmore & Wheatland County.
Bridging the Gap (known as "BTG") engages seniors with programming that supports social participation and inclusion. In turn, seniors are encouraged to volunteer their life skills, knowledge and experience back into the community.
Providing support to families and individuals experiencing disruptions to their normal routine.
True North: Providing Domestic Violence & Emergency Shelter Services since 1992.
The True North Society (formerly Wheatland Crisis Society) has worked to interrupt the cycle of abuse in our community for over 30 years.
True North can support individuals impacted by abuse and domestic violence with emergency shelter, outreach services, public education programs, and we are proud to partner with the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters and the Calgary Counselling Centre.

QUARTER 4 and Year End Report
We are pleased to share the Policing Crime statistics for July as well as the year end Town and Rural Reports for in our area presented to the Executive by RCMP Liaison, Staff Sgt. Mark Wielgosz at our August meeting. We were all pleased to note that crime rates have dropped but efforts continue to reduce vehicle theft. The community is encouraged to report any unusual behaviour via the non-emergency number 403-934-3968. You never know when the information may be of assistance!
